Journal 1: Introduction


My name's Phuong but you can call me in English name " KACHINA". I'm from Vietnam and I'm graduated student in Hublic university. My major is fashion designer and English. I have just came to United States for 4 months. People in here is very nice and friendly. I have many chance to improve my English. I hope I'll be sucessful in my business later. Ah, I can tell a little about my family. There are 5 people in my family: my parents, 2 youngest sister and me. My parents has a fashion company in Vietnam. That's why I choose a fashion design major. My youngest sister is about 9 years old and the younger one is 15 years old. They are very nice. That's all.

    It is very amazing that you have so younger sisters. You looked very nice and fashionable at first sight. I can tell now that's because of your major, Fashion Design.

    You wnat to be a designer! It is so nice! I am really interested in fashion and cosmetics. For women, fashionable clothes are one of the most important items because we need to attract handsome boyfriends. Someday I want to wear clothes you design.

    That is so good that you can learn fashion design. You know, I tried to learn drawing for 3 years. But unluckily my parents stopped me.......

    Whoa, fashion designer. Very cool. Maybe you can design some new clothes for me. I like to just buy inexpensive clothes in gray or black colors, but my wife always buys me crazy shirts and sweaters.

    Where did you get the name Kachina?
